Memphis lands a commitment from top offensive line target Kobe Williams

Amory (Miss.) High offensive lineman Kobe Williams has committed to Memphis. The program had everything he was looking for on and off the field.

“Excellent business program in which I plan to major in, also the staff where the head coach is a former NFL o-line coach and runs an NFL system,” Williams said.

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Williams chose to play for head coach Ryan Silverfield and the Tigers over Houston among others.

“The campus is great and I will only be two hours from home,” Williams said. “I can see myself being a Memphis Tiger. I was recruited hard by Memphis and the current o-line coach just got to the school in January and he immediately reached out to me when I had 24 offers and they was my selection.”

Williams is commit No. 7 for Memphis in the 2024 class. 247Sports ranks him as the nation’s No. 67 interior offensive lineman.
